Next Came Lip Butter...

When I was pregnant with my youngest daughter I was unable to wear lipstick, something about the smell just didn't sit well right underneath my sensitive nose. Even after Peyton was born I couldn't stomach any brand and I tried them all. I made the move to lip balm but the white chalky line on my inner lip that would appear from time to time was not what I was looking for either. I would use Cocobuttery Body Butter to hydrate my lips but that didn't last, my skin absorbed it too quickly.

What did I do? I did what I do best, made my own! I used the body butter as a base which is Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter and Coconut Oil and added some additional ingredients. I chose Castor Oil which reduces inflammation, improves blood flow and sheds damaged skin cells. Then I added Avocado Oil because it is high in vitamin E, potassium, lecithin and oleic acid which promotes collagen. To make it glide on smoothly, prevent drying and cracking lips Candalila Wax was added and finished off with Bees Wax as a natural humectant to keep your lips hydrated.

Lip Butter has been a best seller from the day it went onto Cocobuttery.com. Men like it because it has no fragrance and they only need a little, women use it under their matte lipstick to keep their lips hydrated and parents love that their babies can lick it off and its safe. For those of us who don't wear lipstick at all, it is a much needed replacement for lip balm. While Lip Butter is technically a balm, anything made with Cocobuttery is simply buttery and deserves to be called as such. I still to this day only wear lipstick two to three times a year but I never leave home without my Lip Butter and my lips haven't been chapped in years!
